Produced in Portalegre to the north east of the Alentejo on the granite foothills of the São Mamede mountains, where cooler temperatures, along with many old vines, gives complexity and freshness.

"Pale orangey pink. Very pretty red fruits, with a gentle and inviting 
creamy overlay. More powerful on the palate than the aroma 
suggested. Deep, scented and lightly chewy but not tannic. 
Rounded in the mouth and relatively full-bodied. Dry and likely to 
be food friendly though it could also be drunk on its own. Good 
length. A wine that builds in the mouth with real presence on the
