2018 Reserva, Case of 6

Produced in Portalegre to the north east of the Alentejo on the granite foothills of the São Mamede mountains. The combination of cool, high altitude grapes and granite soils combine to give wines of great finesse with structure, intense aromas and freshness.

"Really dark with a black core. Ripe and spicy with dark, peppery fruit – spice from the varieties and from the oak. Creamy and savoury but better freshness than earlier vintages. Powerful and dark, with compact but not thick tannins. Black-olive savour. Great texture and the fruit just on the right side of ripe. Oak is well integrated. Long, fresh finish."
